Established in 1923, Struthers-Dunn has been a leader in supplying "overbuilt," products to our customers. The consistent high quality product and excellent service has created a loyal customer base who continue to use us to meet their specialized requirements. Our focus is to meet the ever changing demands of industrial applications for the traffic, power generation and distribution, factory automation, elevators, cranes, hoists, motor control and water treatment industries, among many others. We realize that all customers have a choice of suppliers. We intend to build on our existing business with new products. Through quality and service we intend to offer value to our customers so their choice will be Struthers-Dunn. As one of the last remaining U.S. manufacturers of Power Relays and Contactors, our engineers are always ready to customize solutions to meet your design needs.
2005 – Struthers-Dunn is independent once again. As in the beginning over 80 years ago we still provide custom solutions with overbuilt products. SD has always been private American family owned. 2003 – Aquired power relays and traffic control relays from Tyco and divested certain military products. 1995 – SD military products acquired by Magnecraft and Struthers-Dunn. 1990 – Commercial division of SD acquired by Magnecraft. 1986 – SD acquired by Nytronics, Inc. Bettendorf, Iowa division immediately sold to its employees. New Hampshire and New Jersey operations moved to Darlington, South Carolina. 1958 – Company relocated to Pitman New Jersey. 1923 – John Struthers-Dunn begins company to meet needs of unique applications. |
